Demi Lovato "I am focused on my recovery"

Demi Lovato may be simple, but is not willing to change anything!

During the past two years, the star of 20 years has opened about her struggle with eating disorders and mental health problems. And though she said it has been a bed of roses your life lately, is still very much focused on their health in dating. "No matter how beautiful you are, or funny, or how much I'm in love," Demi tells iVillage exclusively. "Right now, there is no one more important to me than myself and my recovery," Demi says about his priorities.

But just because she does not date, does not mean she does not keep busy. Lovato has a new role on the jury of "The X Factor" and she is also a mentor in the "1-Day Acuvue." IVillage When interviewed, spoke on how the mentors of young girls, because she does not feel pressured as an example and how to work with Britney Spears.

I wanted to be a mentor, and that is a good opportunity to help someone out of his shell and make them feel more comfortable and confident to go after their dreams. It was a great opportunity to give back. I had fun doing it.

Many young people look to you. Have you ever felt pressured by that?

I used to feel depressed because I was not being honest with anyone. I feel there is a lot of pressure when you're well and tell the truth. I had problems faced in private, and was going through experiences that all teenagers go through. But he was definitely not an example below. Now we talk about the problems I had to deal with, I do not feel anything down. I'm really being myself with everyone, and when people accept me for what I'm feeling is a very, very good.

Last month, you said you had a dating time. What does a man have to do to change your mind?

There really is nothing a man can do to change my mind now. No matter how beautiful you are, or funny, or how much I'm in love. At this time, no one more important to me than myself and my recovery. I think this is something that many young people need to remember. There is no one more important than themselves, especially when they are girls who are in their late teens or early and are trying to figure out who they are. It is very easy to be influenced by a guy you like, and have a moment where you have to discover yourself. That's what I'm doing now.

You've been very open about his past health problems. Are you feeling well today?

There have been ups and downs, like a roller coaster. Not everything was perfect since I got out of treatment, I'd be lying if I said I was. But now, for some time, has been a bed of roses. I feel like I'm riding and having an amazing time in life. I would not have been able to do my summer tour during the presentation of the Teen Choice Awards and make the X Factor at the same time, if my mind was not healthy. I'm not necessarily an improvement, but I think it shows.

The new season of The X Factor premieres September 12. How has been your experience so far?

The experience so far has been fun. There seems to be a job, and I just had so much fun working with Britney, Simon and LA We get along very, very well, and it's fun to see new talent and people with great potential to be superstars.

If I had to participate in a reality show, what would it be?

I always wanted to participate in Survivor. In the jungle, most foods without having to work for everything and try to survive with their basic instincts. I think it would be a really great experience.

The classes again. Do you have any embarrassing memories back to school as a child?

I have! I have a memory of laps to school, I was running in the hallway, what you know you should never do.
